...Angels Appearing

I loved working with the gray tones in this painting.  I wasn't exactly sure what this painting was going to end up looking like.  But then that's what it's like with most of my paintings! 

I began layering the paint and flipping the canvas.  Before long they began appearing.  Angels!  Right away I could see three.  I had been commissioned to do a painting with three angels and this painting was the second one I worked on for my friend to choose from. After completing the painting I sat back and stared at the painting.  I was truly in awe of how quickly it came to be.  Then I saw more.  I saw more and more of the heavenly hosts appearing.  Even still when I look at it I can see them.  There seem to be too many for me to count.  This has become one of my very favorite paintings.   

Angels Watching Over You...

This commission resides in the home of some of our dearest people!  They have three daughters and it's a privilege to have painted this for them.  I pray they are reminded every time they look at it how God promises them that He has commanded His angels concerning them to guard them in all their ways. Psalm 91:11
