The Artists & Facilitators

Sara Thurman has been practicing her calling of becoming an artist for God since she heard His clear call in October 2014. She has painted over 900 paintings since that call. Sara had never considered herself an artist, in fact has never taken an art class before God told her who she was. She is releasing her first book, Small Beginnings: A Journey to the Impossible in the spring 2019. It is her story full of testimonies of how her art speaks about the love of Jesus. She is a retired teacher and administrator in Texas public schools. She has a heart of encouragement and intercession to release the hope and light and love of Jesus to others.

Sara lives in Wimberley, Texas with Wayman, her husband of nearly 34 years. Two sons and daughter-in-loves call her Mom and she is awaiting the arrival of her first granddaughter in late March, 2019. She and Wayman started an art ministry called Acts 1:8 Blessings in early 2017. Follow her journey on Instagram at: @actsoneeightblessings and www.actsoneeightblessings.com

Ann Younger is an artist and also a Certified Pastoral Counselor who often incorporates creativity into the therapeutic process. Her pastoral mission is dedicated to restoration, encouraging, affirmation, and ministering God’s Truth. Ann has had a love for creativity her whole life. Before going into practice, she had a successful business where she sold her crafts and art in several shops throughout Texas. Since retiring her counseling practice in Sugar Land, Ann has been drawn back into creating art full time. Her main medium is acrylic painting. She now resides in Jonestown, Texas on the north shore of Lake Travis with her husband Roland. Ann is “Mom” to two grown sons and a daughter in-love. She has two grandchildren who call her “ZsaZsa”.
